Air Sampling & Air Quality Testing

Enhance your indoor environment with our Air Quality Testing services in Naples and throughout Southwest Florida. Our comprehensive Air Sampling ensures that the air you breathe is clean and safe, promoting a healthier living or working space.

What do we do?

Our services for mold assessments and testing include various methods of inspection. Our non-destructive methods include utilization of infrared thermal imaging and moisture meter detection for more thorough identification of source identification. Air sampling is also performed to determine indoor air quality and the extent of any airborne mold spore concentration. The amount of air samples will be determined upon consultation. Typically we can sample 500 square feet of open space. All air quality samples require completion of an outdoor mold level sample as the control for comparison.

A third-party accredited laboratory will analyze the air samples. Once we receive the results, we will thoroughly review types of mold and mold levels present. Upon analysis, we will provide you with a comprehensive report outlining any mold and debris present in the sampled air. Any follow up questions are happily answered to ensure our customers have a competent understanding of their results.

Gulf Coast Mold Assessing and Remediation offers FREE consultation appointments to complete a mold inspection of your property. Our licensed mold assessor will complete a thorough walk through of the entire property to try to identify if mold is present and, if so, the source of mold growth.

Mold Remediation in Collier County and Lee County Florida

All mold remediation jobs are different. Although, most remediation jobs contain several of the same steps, including:

  1. Review remediation protocol

  2. Contain the areas where mold is confirmed prior to beginning the remediation process.

  3. Insert NAM’s (Negative Air Machines) to filter air and keep contaminated air from entering other parts of the home during the removal of mold impacted building materials.

*NAM’s capture and contain any dirt, dust, smoke, fumes, fungus or molds spores present in the air.

  4. HEPA vacuuming agitates any organic compounds that collect over time on building materials and offers high-quality cleaning of those surfaces.

  5. We thoroughly perform a bio-washing of the contained areas using antimicrobial agent. This kills any remaining mold on the building materials and penetrates porous surfaces such as wood to kill the colony's roots.

  6. Finally, we apply an anti-fungicidal sealant to pre-cleaned building materials. This is a flat white coating that kills on contact and prevents future mold growth.

Our team takes all proper precautions when it comes to health and safety on the job. Every team member on site will wear necessary PPE including:

  • Full body disposable coveralls

  • Non- vented goggles for eye protection

  • Rubber gloves

  • P-100 particulate filters with respirators

  • Boot covers

All protective clothing and contaminated materials are properly disposed of to isolate and contain the spread of mold spores to other areas.

Upon completion of remediation, the third-party licensed mold assessor returns to conduct post-testing. Post testing will provide clearance to ensure all mold was properly removed.

Water Damage Restoration

Any water in your home is unwanted when it comes to preventing mold growth. One of the most critical steps in the restoration process is thorough drying. Excess moisture left behind from a past water intrusion can create the perfect breeding ground for mold, leading to potential health risks and costly damage to your property. Mold can start to grow within 24-48 hours in damp environments, posing a serious threat to both the structural integrity of your home and the health of its occupants.

Proper drying techniques, including the use of specialized equipment and expertise, are essential to remove moisture completely from affected areas. By promptly and effectively drying your home after a flood, you can mitigate the risk of mold growth and safeguard the health and integrity of your living space.
